The meeting is organised jointly with Parliament’s Delegation for relations with the NATO Parliamentary Assembly (DNAT).
When: Monday, 28 June 2021, 14.00 – 15.00 CET
Where: European Parliament, Brussels, ANTALL (6 Q 2) – remote meeting
Background
NATO 2030 outlines the strategic vision for NATO and assesses the main trends that will shape the organisation’s activities for the next ten years. The current strategic concept was adopted by NATO leaders in Lisbon in 2010 and needs to be reviewed to take account of the current international order and how NATO can contribute to the European and transatlantic security. A new strategic concept should be adopted in 2022, when the EU is due to adopt its own strategic compass during the French EU Presidency in the first semester of 2022.
