Livestream Day 2
+++ English version below +++
„Taiwan: Opportunities and Challenges in Times of Geopolitical Change“, das ist der Titel der 1. Berliner Taiwankonferenz, die am 5. und 6. Dezember im Europäischen Haus in Berlin (Unter den Linden 78, 10117 Berlin) stattfinden wird.
Sprachen: Englisch
“Taiwan: Opportunities and Challenges in Times of Geopolitical Change” is the title of the 1st Berlin Taiwan Conference, which will take place on December 5 and 6 at the European House in Berlin. I would like to warmly invite you to this event.
Languages: English
Academics, experts from business and politics, government representatives and members of civil society will discuss on two days the relations between the EU and Taiwan, the development of democracy in Taiwan, Taiwan’s experience in the fight against disinformation, Taiwan’s economic importance and its role as a partner in Indo-Pacific policy.
In recent years, Taiwan has become increasingly important in the public perception in Germany. Mostly the focus is on the aggression of the People’s Republic of China and Taiwan’s relevance as a high-tech hub. Since Taiwan’s successful democratization more than thirty years ago, however, a vibrant civil society has also emerged there that deserves attention for its own sake. Indeed, Taiwan has much to offer as a partner.
